I live in downtown Toronto, Canada. As a retired person looking for a hobby, I decided to take up photography. I did this because it was something I had always meant to learn but did not have time for during my working life - but more importantly because I was excited about new (2014) camera technology. All photos posted here were shot using a Sony A7R mirrorless full-frame DSLR camera. I love this camera and now classify myself as an amateur enthusiast, immersing myself in photography courses, workshops, magazines, Instagram & Flickr and practice. 

My photos as an amateur photographer and photography enthusiast includes a daily routine encompassing street photography, macro photography, creative photography, pictures of food, city and country life, gardens, nature, and animals.
